Well, another year of the September Cycle challenge and the Elite team are doing their bit!
A great effort and, with 3 days to go we sit 2nd in West Lothian and in 5th place in Scotland. Still a wee bit of time left to make up the 100 points but either way doing our bit for fitness and the environment.

Last week saw us honour a very important man and colleague as he reached a golden milestone beginning what we are sure will be a long and very happy retirement!
As Elite fast approaches its’ own 30th anniversary year, we all said an emotional and heartfelt farewell to our much-loved Operations Director Brian Sneddon. Brian has been with us for 21 of those 30 years and during his time at Elite, as Account Manager, Sales Operations Manager, General Manager and latterly Operations Director, he has made a huge contribution to our team in so many ways.
We all wish both Brian and, his very understanding wife Margaret, an amazing, long and very healthy retirement.

Ewon assists our clients to remotely monitor their assets and machines whilst allowing our Engineers to carry out essential work or emergency support when required.
Recently, one of our clients experienced issue with a fault at their plant in Europe Mainland and our Engineers remotely logged into their PLC (with their permission),to help diagnose the issue to get their plant back up and running!
Elite have a produced a bespoke enclosure for the Ewon, allowing clients to manually switch off the device without having to open the enclosure to prevent any unwanted access, while their plant is live or the machine is running.

One of Elites energy clients, was looking for more efficient and greener ways of supporting their multiple sites including reducing downtime, shortening responses times whilst also reducing their maintenance carbon footprint.
Working with the Elite engineering team, a new remote access solution was designed and installed into the existing system and site.
Elite’s well tried and tested solution for this has enabled minor faults and edits to be resolved remotely delivering benefits in both shorter downtimes and improved response times.
With what is a relatively modest addition to an existing installation, the result for the customer is a significant reduction in maintenance expenditure. Savings include less travel time to sites and lower costs in commissioning as minor faults and edits can now be performed remotely.
Of course, further green benefit includes a reduction in both the customers and our support teams’ carbon footprint through less travel and emissions.
