Elite Control Systems Appoints New Operations Manager

Elite Control Systems Appoints New Operations Manager

Elite Control Systems is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Collie as Operations Manager, supporting the next chapter of our family-owned industrial automation, control systems and IT/OT cybersecurity business.

Alex will help lead Elite into its next chapter, continuing to strengthen our support for clients across industrial automation, systems integration, control system lifecycle support and cyber resilience.

Elite remains a family-owned company with over 34 years in operation and more than 100 years of combined service knowledge, engineering capability and industry expertise.

We support clients across distilling, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas in the UK and overseas, critical national infrastructure including water and power generation and distribution, life sciences, renewables and other highly regulated industries.

As approved partners and systems integrators with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider and AVEVA, we deliver control system and automation support across a wide range of platforms, including Omron, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Unitronics.

Our latest business offering focuses on industrial cybersecurity, helping organisations strengthen IT/OT security, cyber resilience and compliance across operational technology environments.

Does your company or industry need to comply with IEC 62443, NIS2 or the Cyber Resilience Act? IT/OT security is no longer a nice-to-have; it is essential for protecting operational technology, critical systems and business continuity.

Not sure where to start? As CEED award winners for cyber resilience, we can support every stage of the journey, from an initial system review through to a practical compliance roadmap.

If your control system has not been backed up recently, is causing operational issues, or needs to be modified, upgraded or secured, please contact Alex or one of the Elite team to discuss how we can help.

Siemens Transform 2026

Siemens Transform 2026

Last week, members of the Elite Control Systems team attended Siemens Transform 2026 at Manchester Central.

The event offered a valuable opportunity to explore some of the technologies and ideas shaping the future of the industrial sector, from automation and industrial AI to digital twins and connected infrastructure.

Digital development and continuous improvement are important across our industry, so it was great to see businesses and professionals coming together to exchange ideas, build connections and learn more about emerging solutions.

Our team enjoyed the experience and returned with plenty of new insights and inspiration from the technologies, demonstrations and discussions taking place throughout the event.

As a Siemens partner, we are proud to be part of an industry that continues to innovate and develop, and we look forward to seeing what comes next.

Elite at All-Energy 2026

Elite at All-Energy 2026

We were excited to attend the All-Energy 2026 25th anniversary event at the SEC Glasgow, where leaders from across the energy sector came together to share ideas, showcase innovation, and explore the future of energy. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to reconnect with industry contacts and gain valuable insight into the direction of the market.

In today’s fast-moving and evolving landscape, we are seeing more crossover than ever between automation, control systems, digital resilience, cyber assurance, and critical infrastructure. Events like All-Energy 2026 are a powerful reminder of just how quickly these sectors are developing — and how important it is to stay connected, informed, and ready for what comes next.

The event has already sparked some great conversations, and we are looking forward to building on that momentum with new opportunities, fresh thinking, and exciting follow-up discussions in the weeks ahead.

Go-Karting Fun with the Elite Team!

Go-Karting Fun with the Elite Team!

With autumn now in full swing and the colder, darker nights setting in, the Elite team is keeping the energy up with some exciting team-building activities. Our latest outing? A fast-paced, laughter-filled evening of Go-Karting at Xtreme Karting!

It was the perfect way to shake off the seasonal blues and bring everyone together for some friendly competition. Racing around the track gave us all a chance to let loose, cheer each other on, and see who had the fastest lap time — turns out we’ve got a few speed demons in the team!

A huge thank you to Xtreme Karting for hosting such a brilliant Grand Prix-style event. The atmosphere was electric, and the whole team had an amazing time.

We’re all about keeping spirits high and building strong connections, and this was just one of many fun ways we’re embracing the season together.
